Jessica Simpson just brought a whole mood to Instagram during the coronavirus lockdown.

Just like us, our celebs are pining for the days they’ll be free of ferocious hand washing and self-isolation and can finally venture out into the big wide world again.

We’ve had throwback after throwback of a time before corona ruled the roost and well, but Jessica’s latest post is a real gem.

She posted her Rolling Stone housewife of the year cover from way back in 2003 and decided to give it a little lockdown revamp, given the current pandemic.

Gone were Jessica’s skimpy cupcake pants and heels. Gone was her make-up (remember when that existed?) and gone was her immaculate hair ‘do.

Equipped with the new normal of bleach, anti-bac wipes and disposable gloves, Jessica posed once again with her mopping brush, but this time in her slippers, her quarantines casuals and not a scrap of make-up on her face.

Now, this, is a real mood.

She joked alongside her post: ‘Housewife of the Year looks a little different these days.’

Prior to lockdown, Jessica had been celebrating the release of her new memoir Open Book that went on to top the charts and become a number one New York Times bestseller.

The book details all on Jessica’s past marriage to Nick Lachey and their split, her struggles with addiction and past relationships with the likes of John Mayer.

Speaking about the book’s success, Jessica said: ‘I wrote this book thinking if it could help one person get through their struggle it would be worth it. To find out that I have sold enough copies to make me the #1 New York Times best seller is humbling and surreal.

‘I pray every day that I can use my platform for good. I promise to continue to be open and to lead with my mistakes. I promise to be honest and use the voice that God gave me.’

Jessica is now married to husband Eric Johnson. They tied the knot back in 2014 and are parents to three children; son Ace, six, and daughters Maxwell, seven, and Birdie Mae, who recently turned one.

Celebrating Birdie’s birthday at home while in isolation, Jessica gushed on Instagram: ‘Happy 1st Birthday my angel Birdie Mae! You have created in me a healing purposeful life to live most fully and love most deeply. With you my soul has been set free to the beauty of pure light.

‘You guide me to shine because your heartbeat connected me to mine. Sweet baby girl, you have illuminated all of our worlds with your bright mystical star-bursting smile. I am forever yours, you are forever mine.

‘Life get ready because the both of us were born ready. I love you!’
