Jess Wright has revealed the impact coronavirus has had on her family as she says it has ‘ripped through’ her loved ones in the past few weeks.

The Towie star, 35, shared an impassioned post urging her followers to look out for themselves and their loved ones as cases continue to increase in the UK.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘Covid has ripped through my family in the past month & it has been absolutely horrendous.

‘Please stay safe everyone, stay home, wear masks & also check on loved ones regularly. The fight isn’t over for us yet, we are taking every day as it comes and praying a lot.

‘This new strain seems to be spreading like wild fire. Thank you for the well wishes to those who have known, for my family members that have been hospitalised by this awful, awful virus.’

She added: ‘Remember our mental health at his time us super important too. With so much uncertainty, we need to support each other through this & build each other up.

‘Sending love & I guess, luck to everyone at the minute. An even bigger thank you to the NHS for everything have done & are doing, our real true heroes.’

Jess had shared photos of her loved ones to mark the new year, as she revealed that many of them had either been in hospital or suffering at home with coronavirus.

She wrote: ‘I don’t even know where to begin with 2020. It started off with an engagement & ended with Christmas & New Years away from my loved ones because they’re either in hospital or at home with an awful virus.

‘Our mental health has been tested, we’ve lost lives, & our anxiety has been pretty much pushed to the limit.

‘My emotions are all over the place but I’m just praying my loved ones get through this 2nd strain & we all have a prosperous & better 2021. Not to mention a wedding…. what a s**t show. Happy new year everyone.’
