Jeremy Kyle show fans flock to sign petition to bring it back after it’s axed and say it isn’t responsible for death of guest Steve Dymond

OVER 13,000 Jeremy Kyle show fans have signed a petition to bring back the show after it was axed.

The Bring Back Jeremy Kyle petition, which is on Change.org, states that the show is not responsible for the death of Steve Dymond, who died from a suspected suicide just over a week after taking a lie detector test .

A statement on the page reads: “Jeremy Kyle should be put back on, the man’s girlfriend in statement to the press said that the show tried with after care to help this poor guest but to no avail.

“The Jeremy Kyle show and ITV should not be held accountable for anyones mental wellbeing after they have been offered some of the best help out there…

“Jeremy Kyle has kept me motivated for nearly 15 years to be a better person and to fight for the truth and I am sure I am not the only one… keep Jeremy Kyle on TV.”

Fans – who call themselves the ‘9.25am club’ – were left disappointed when ITV announced they had permanently scrapped the programme.

Jeremy Kyle, which ran 3,320 episodes over 14 years, used to air for 50 mins, five days a week.

Taking to Twitter to express their upset one person wrote: “How can @ITV cancel The Jeremy Kyle Show?

“I feel sorry for the person that lost their life and his family but at the end of the day people go on these shows knowing what they are facing .. you shouldn’t go on the show if you arent prepared to be called out on your own lie. Shame.”

Another added: “F*** @ITV ruined my daily morning routine cancelling Jeremy Kyle now haven’t they kmt.”

A third tweeted: “I’m literally so sad that Jeremy Kyle show has been axed.”

Meanwhile a fourth agreed, writing: “jeremy kyle has been axed i’m so f***ing sad.”

Carolyn McCall, ITV’s CEO, announced the news, saying: “Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show.

“The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

“Everyone at ITV’s thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond.”
