Jeremy Clarkson weight loss: ‘That’d be unseemly’ Grand Tour host speaks out citing Queen

Jeremy Clarkson, 59, recently opened up about his new healthy lifestyle and revealed his diet methods are in fact inspired by royalty. The Grand Tour presenter has dropped an impressive two stone in weight last year by eating more nutritious meals and drinking more water. However, the TV personality admitted he refuses to resort to exercise as it would be “unseemly”. Citing Queen Elizabeth II as the reason behind his avoidance of working out, Jeremy told The Sun: “No. No, that would be unseemly.

“The Queen doesn’t go to the gym and she doesn’t run and she’s 93 and she’s all right.”

The outspoken star went on to detail speculation about the Queen’s minimal diet.

He added: “Apparently she only has a forkful, she only has a tiny bit, that’s what I’ve heard.

“She’ll sit down and just have one little bit of mousse and bit of a lettuce leaf.”

In light of his comments, Jeremy revealed his meal of choice for the day was salad accompanied by a glass of water.

He divulged to the publication: “I had salad for lunch and water — well, I had water because you lot were coming.

“But I had a salad nicoise and a glass of water. I lost two stone last year.”

Elsewhere, Jeremy has reflected on the dramatic moment he crashed his mum’s car.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host made the admission when a Twitter user shared a video of Audi’s new advertisement video.

The person wrote: “This is one of the best car commercial (films) I’ve ever watched. Bravo to @Audi for making this. I’m proud to be an Avant owner.”

Jeremy spotted the tweet and replied: “My Mum had an Audi 80 just like that one. I loved it. And now…. I have a Range Rover.”

Another fan then took the opportunity to quiz the former Top Gear presenter: “Jeremy, did you not crash your mum’s Audi shortly after passing your driving test? Just asking.”

“Well remembered,” Jeremy responded. “I did indeed crash it, hard, 36 hours after removing the L plates.”

The star recently returned to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? for the ITV show’s latest series and was accused of being “rude” by a viewer.

The Twitter user wrote: “Why is @JeremyClarkson so rude to all the contestants on #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire???”

However, Jeremy denied the viewer’s claims as he explained he’s only “rude” to certain contestants.

He replied: “I’m not. Only to those who know full well they won’t get past £16,000. Keep watching!!!”
