Jeremy Clarkson shows off holiday home in annual A-Level results tweet

Jeremy Clarkson shared his annual reminder that A-Level success isn’t everything as he showed off a photo of his holiday home.

Thousands of students across the United Kingdom received their exam results this morning, prompting the Grand Tour presenter to post his results alongside a snap of a luxurious rented property.

“A level results a bit rubbish?” he wrote. “Don’t worry. I got a C and two Us and I’ve rented this place for the summer.”

Clarkson’s A-Level posts have become a social media tradition, with the former Top Gear star sharing a new boast every year.

He began in 2015 when he told followers that he was “currently sitting in a villa in St Tropez” despite his lacklustre exam performance.

The following year he claimed to be “on a superyacht in the Med,” while 2017 saw him joke that his “chef” was “preparing truffles for breakfast.”

“Don’t worry if your A level grades aren’t any good,” he wrote last year. “I got a C and 2 Us. And I’m sitting here deciding which of my Range Rovers to use today.”

Clarkson has a reported net worth of £30 million.

Today saw the number of top grade A-Levels fall to the lowest level for more than a decade, with the total of A* and A grades dropping by 0.9 per cent from 26.4 per cent in 2018 to 25.5 this year.

Girls outperformed boys, with 25.5 per cent achieving A*s and As compared to 25.4 per cent of boys.

Today marks the first full exam cycle for the new generation of supposedly tougher A-Levels, introduced under former Education Secretary Michael Gove.
