Jeremy Clarkson has turned into quite the entrepreneur – opening up a new shot in anticipation of his new Amazon Prime series I Bought The Farm.

The programme will see The Grand Tour host attempt to run his own 1,000-acre-farm in the middle of the British countryside.

Cameras followed Jeremy for a year as he experienced the highs and lows of agricultural life.

And now as the series nears its launch date, it appears the former Top Gear presenter will be showing the fruits of his labour to the rest of the world.

Writing today on Twitter, he announced that: ‘My farm shop opens tomorrow afternoon.

‘Twitter-friendly as it’s unheated and meat-free. Do drop in if you’re in the Chipping Norton area.’

We can’t decide if his claims of the shop being ‘un-heated’ and ‘meat-free’ are genuine or dripping in sarcasm.

Maybe a bit of both?

Ideas for this shop have clearly been in the making for a long time – it was announced at the end of last year that planning permission had been granted for it to be built.

The 59-year-old had previously announced his new endeavour via a video posted to Amazon Prime’s social media accounts.

Stood out in a field he sarcastically said: ‘Good news, I can finally confirm that I will be spending the next year in the rain making a show about farming for Amazon Prime.

‘That means people all over the world can watch me use 1000-acres of the Cotswolds to make thousands of tonnes of beer, and bread, and lamb chops, and jumpers.’

He continued: ‘Of course to be a farmer you have to be an agronomist, a businessman, a politician, an accountant, a vet, and a mechanic, and I am none of those things.

‘I don’t even know what agronomist means.’

Sounds like a great start to us!

Maybe consider popping along to the shop if you’re in Chipping Norton tomorrow to see how the star got on.

I Bought The Farm will drop on Amazon Prime at an as-yet-unconfirmed date.
