Jennifer Lopez reveals she felt ‘weird electricity’ when she first met fiance Alex Rodriguez (though they were both still married to other people)
They were both married at the time they first met each other.
Though that didn’t stop sparks from instantly flying the moment Jennifer Lopez was introduced to her current fiance, Alex Rodriguez.
The couple met at Shea stadium in 2005 in front of Jennifer’s then-husband Marc Anthony, and in an interview with Sports Illustrated, the songstress, 49, revealed she felt a ‘weird electricity’ when she first shook Alex’s hand.

‘We shook hands, and it was this weird electricity for, like, three seconds,’ she said.
The famous pair were mesmerized by each other.
‘Three to five seconds of looking right in their eyes, and getting stuck,’ the Selena actress continued.
In photos capturing the moment, Jennifer can be seen with a huge smile on her face as she shakes hands with her future fiance.

Alex, who was married to Cynthia Scurtis at the time, was about to play against against the New York Mets, and was clad in his Yankees jersey at the time.
Years later, the pair quickly went on their first date after reconnecting at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2017.
Though a lot had changed, one thing hadn’t – their attraction for each other.

Jennifer recalled receiving a bold text message from Alex when he excused himself momentarily to use the bathroom in the middle of their date.
‘YOU LOOK SEXY AS F**K,’ the text message read.
Flattered, Jennifer recalled: ‘Actually, it was good game, because it was very unexpected and it was super flattering… I wasn’t dressed very sexy.’
Just two years later, the couple were engaged.
Alex popped the question to Jennifer during a romantic getaway to the Baker’s Bay, presenting her with a lavish diamond ring.
