Jennifer Lawrence celebrates engagement to Cooke Maroney in wedding-worthy gown

Jennifer Lawrence looked the perfect bride-to-be as she celebrated her engagement to art dealer Cooke Maroney at a pre-wedding gathering in New York.

The couple, who confirmed their engagement in February, reportedly hosted friends and family in Manhattan over the weekend.

The Oscar-winner’s stylists Jill Lincoln and Jordan Johnson shared a photo of the bride-to-be beaming as she walked through a candlelit courtyard, wearing a wedding-appropriate white gown from L. Wells Bridal.

The fashion experts said that “too good of a time” was had by Lawrence’s guests, writing: “Here she comes! We couldn’t be happier and more excited for #jenniferlawrence to become a #MRS…

“This weekend we toasted Jen and her groom to be… too good of a time was had by all.”

The couple sparked engagement rumours when Lawrence was spotted wearing a “massive ring” on a night out with Maroney, 34, earlier this year, prompting the actress’s spokesperson to confirm the news soon after.

“It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it,” a source told Page Six at the time.

“The ring was very noticeable. They were sitting back in a corner.”

The pair were first linked in June 2018, and are thought to have been introduced by Lawrence’s close friend Laura Simpson.

A recent report in People magazine suggested that the actress and Maroney, who is currently the director of the Gladstone art gallery in New York, had been scoping out luxury wedding venues in the city ahead of their nuptials.

Describing Lawrence as “a family girl,” a source told the publication: “I would be surprised if the wedding were not a fairly extensive family affair.”

The Hunger Games star was previously in a relationship with mother! director Darren Aronofsky, and dated her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult between 2010 and 2014.
