Jennifer Hudson stayed warm while doing some diamond shopping in Beverly Hills on Monday afternoon.

The 38-year-old singer/actress was all smiles after leaving the XIV Karats store in Beverly Hills.

Hudson’s shopping excursion came just weeks after wrapping production on her highly-anticipated Aretha Franklin biopic Respect.

Hudson was rocking a maroon knit crop top with chocolate brown stretch pants as she stepped out in Beverly Hills.

She had a large full-length camouflage coat and black shoes with white soles as she headed to her vehicle. 

Her long hair flowed behind her coat as she carried a small black bag for the XIV Karats store.

Her diamond-shopping outing came just days after performing at the NBA All-Star Game, held in her hometown of Chicago.

She delivered a heartfelt performance during the emotional tribute to NBA legend Kobe Bryant during the festivities.

The singer was clad in an elegant purple dress, one of the colors of Bryant’s team, the Los Angeles Lakers, whom he played for during his entire 20-year career.

Hudson recently wrapped filming on Respect, a biopic where she portrays iconic R&B singer Aretha Franklin.

The star-studded cast also included Forest Whitaker as Aretha’s father, C.L. Franklin, Tate Donovan as Reverend John Hammond, Tituss Burgess as Reverend Dr. James Cleveland and Marlon Wayans as Ted White.

The film, directed by Liesl Tommy (Mrs. Fletcher) and written by Tracey Scott Wilson (Fosse/Verdon), is slated for release on October 9.

Hudson first burst onto the scene on Fox’s American Idol in its third season, and while she didn’t win, it still launched her career.

She made her feature film debut in the 2006 musical Dreamgirls, which won her an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role.

She most recently portrayed Grizabella in the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway sensation Cats.
