Jennifer Aniston has teased that the Friends gang are ‘working on something’ during a new interview with Ellen.

The actress, who shot to fame as Rachel Green in the eternal fan favourite Friends, has been inundated with questions about whether or not the gang will ever get back together.

She then literally broke Instagram for a moment when she uploaded a photo revealing that she had spent an evening reunited with her co-stars.

But she appeared to give away more to Ellen than anyone else when she completely ruled out a full reboot, but admitted that on the show’s 25th anniversary, there might be something in the making.

Speaking to the host, who she had just shared a kiss with, Jennifer said: ‘We would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So we’re just trying.’

‘We’re working on something,’ she then teased.

We’ll take it, Jennifer! What’ll it be? One episode epilogue? Comic book? Catch-up interview?…Ellen could even do the hosting honours on that one.

Jennifer had previously confessed to Howard Stern on SiriusXM at the beginning of this month that the reason she wouldn’t be up for a reunion is she thought it would ruin the legacy of the series.

‘I honestly think…we would love it…there is an idea if there is a reboot of the show it won’t be even close to as good as what it was. It would ruin it,’ she told him.

We hate to admit it, but we’re kind of in agreement with her here.

The actress did lift the lid on the special reunion evening though, which was completed by Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), David Schwimmer (Ross), Matt LeBlanc (Joey) and Matthew Perry (Chandler).

She said they all miss the show and spent their evening ‘laughing so hard’ as we all curse the fact we weren’t flies on the wall.

‘We went to Courteney’s. Nobody got naked, it was very civilised. But we just laughed a lot,’ she said.

‘We all miss it every day.’

Friends is available to stream on Netflix and airs on Comedy Central in the UK.
