Jeffree Star has called a truce with James Charles after he got involved in the 19-year-old’s fallout with Tati Westbrook.
Just last week, the beauty queen took to YouTube where she posted a 45 minute video slamming her now ex-BFF and accusing him of ‘sexually manipulating people.’
Since then, James has hit back, and has given his side of the story in yet another video, titled No More Lies, where he shared a number of text messages and video clips with his viewers in order to gain back both trust and credibility.
However, while the spat was on going between the pair, Jeffree decided he would take sides and stood by Tati.
Following their feud, the makeup mogul has now shared his own 13 minute clip where he appologised to both James and the community before calling a truce.
He said in the video, titled Never Doing This Again: ‘Today I know what people want. They want me to sit here and degrade James. They want me to open up my phone and expose it all.
‘I’m done doing that. I’m willing to bite the bullet and let anyone think what they want. But today I will not be posting voice memos I will not be posting text messages.
‘I will not be exposing anything more. This has to stop.’
He continued: ‘I’m embarrassed by my own actions. I could have handled things differently, what I should have done is vented all my feelings to James.
‘I know Tati got to do that. She had private conversations. I didn’t do that. I should have been mature enough to say “Hey, I love and care about you. I’ve heard X, Y, and Z about you. I’ve seen some things I didn’t like. Here’s my feelings.”
‘But guess what, I didn’t. And that’s my first mistake.’
The star added: ‘Yesterday took me back to the old Jeffree and I was in a very dark place, I sat there for hours and it started to get really dark in my head.
‘What I mean by that is you guys know me for being brutally honest, keeping it real… A lot of you have seen some brutal tweets and text messages
‘Because I sent those things it does not mean I hate James Charles,’ he affirmed before saying: ‘Are we the best of friends? No.’
‘But we had a connection and I think I mishandled our friendship.’
Jeffree then concluded his spiel with: ‘Everyone has to heal and this has to stop. I’m going to take a little mental vacation because I think we all need one.’
Tati has also spoken out on her Twitter account, where she shared a statement revealing she would no longer make a public comment on the topic.
She told her followers: ‘I have been in communication with James Charles through an intermediary for the last week, and we believe that it is in the best interest of our community, our viewers and our own mental health to put this matter to rest.
‘For that reason, I will not be making any further public comments and I hope and pray that no one else will make anymore hurtful statements on my behalf.’
James went on to thank the pair for their ‘sentiments’ and agreed to draw a line under the drama.
He wrote: ‘I am on board to move on, will not speak about this further, but do hope to speak in the future when we’re all ready.
‘This week was awful for all of us and I ask that the community focuses on positivity moving forward.’
