Jedward claim X Factor bosses are ‘desperate’ to sign them up on the show

The Irish double act first rose to fame back in 2009, when their towering heads of hair stole the spotlight on X Factor.

Jedward made it to the live performances stage but was eventually eliminated.

But, according to the twins, the show’s bosses want them back in action on the hit singing competition.

Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women, the 27-year-olds claimed that the X Factor bosses were “desperate” to give them some air time.

Edward said: “Well I can tell everybody that they’re trying desperately to get me and John. They’ve been emailing us.”

His brother agreed, saying “They definitely want us”.

Since their time on X Factor, the twins have released three albums and enjoyed some success with their hit Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby).

In 2012, they represented Ireland in The Eurovision with the track Waterline, only to disappointingly rank in twenty-third place.

Dabbling in the television world, they later presented a children’s series called Omg! Jedward’s Dream Factory.

Though the singers announced they were working on a fourth album back in 2017, it has yet to appear.

Unfortunately, the brothers confessed that a return to the show wasn’t on the cards.

According to the blonde pop stars, they have “progressed” since they first starred on the show, and don’t want to “rewind what we’ve done”.

John continued: “I don’t want to go back and do Britney Spears or Ghostbusters.”
