Jason Momoa thinks it would ‘be amazing’ to remake 80s classic 'Twins' – alongside Tyrion Lannister actor Peter Dinklage

Game of Thrones and Aquaman star Jason Momoa has said it would ‘be amazing’ to remake Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito 1980s classic Twins – with Tyrion Lanister actor Peter Dinklage playing his twin.

Momoa has already taken part in one Schwarzenegger remake, playing the title role in 2011’s Conan the Barbarian, and now seems excited by the prospect of having a crack at another.

In the original 1988 movie, Schwarzenegger and DeVito play twins who were separated at birth after being born following a scientific experiment. They then reunite and try to find their birth mother.

The idea was put to the 39-year-old at an Aquaman Live panel at Celebrity Fan Fest in Texas. Momoa replied: “F***ing tell me where to sign! Absolutely. That’d be amazing. I love that movie.”

“People on Twitter, make that happen,” the panel host added, to which to which Mamoa agreed.

Momoa and Dinklage both starred in HBO’s Game of Thrones, but the pair never shared screen time, with Momoa’s character Khal Drogo being killed off towards the end of the first season, while Dinklage remained throughout the show’s eight seasons.

Elsewhere during the panel, Momoa admitted he’d love take over from Hugh Jackman as Wolverine – which would mean to joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which might not go down too well with rival studio DC, who Momoa is currently working with. He said: “I’d love to play Wolverine. Hugh Jackman was phenomenal. I grew up just loving Wolverine.”

However, he may need to put any hopes of playing Wolverine on hold as he has previously said he is keen to make more Aquaman movies. He has previously said: “I definitely have an opinion. Even when we were shooting Aquaman, I have the opening of Aquaman 2 ready.

“I went in and pitched it to Peter Safran, and I pitched it to [Warner Bros. chairman] Toby Emmerich.

“They loved it. It’s awesome – yeah, I have plans for Aquaman 2.”
