Jason Momoa is in full throttle Fast and the Furious mode as he revved on a motorbike on the set for the 10th instalment of the action franchise in Rome.

The 42-year-old Aquaman star was clad in leather trousers and a snake skin jacket as he was filmed riding a black and red motorbike down a cobbled street in the Italian capital.

He was later seen removing his jacket to reveal a black vest, silver chains and his trademark family crest arm tattoo.

Momoa recently revealed that he will be playing a ‘bad guy’ in the latest film – although his character’s name and other details have yet to be confirmed.

‘I’m gonna go do Fast 10, that’s gonna be fun… it’s fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven’t gotten to do for a while…’ he told ET. ‘Now I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy. A little panache.’

Charlize Theron, who is reprising her role as Cipher in the movie, recently shared the first pictures from the set on Instagram, which included a black and white photo of her hugging Momoa in-between takes.

The blockbuster movie franchise started its journey two decades ago, with the 2001 debut, The Fast And The Furious, and has since become one of the most successful in history.

Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, confirmed that filming had kicked off on the latest flick – with the series set to end with the 11th movie.

Chatting to about where the film will take us in Fast X, Vin said: ’We’ve been working on 10 for the last year, so I have so much to share and I’m holding back.

‘I know that one of the things Justin wants to do is to film on all seven continents, which I think is pretty spectacular, as a homage to the world that’s adopted this saga as their own.

‘I think you’re going to be pretty shocked when you see Fast 10.

‘It might not necessarily be because of a certain place that we go, but there’s something special coming that I’m so excited about. I can’t tell you, but I wish I could.’

Fast X is due for release in 2023 with returning stars Vin, Charlize, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson and Jordana Brewster.

It’s being reported that Marvel’s Louis Leterrier will take over as director following Justin Lin’s exit.
