Janette Manrara has hinted at her Strictly Come Dancing future by revealing she doesn’t think she’ll be returning to the ballroom anytime soon.
The It Takes Two presenter, 38, appeared on This Morning on Tuesday (January 25) opposite hosts Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes, where she opened up about her newfound passion for presenting.
While vowing to continue her dance career, Janette later teased that it’s unlikely she’ll return to Strictly as a professional dancer and instead shared her hopes of continuing her presenting journey on It Takes Two.
Janette said: “I’d love to keep presenting.
“Obviously, I want to keep dancing.
“I don’t think that’s never not going to be a part of my life.”
Phil then asked: “Would you go back to dancing on Strictly?”
In response, Janette replied: “No, I don’t think so now.
“I think It Takes Two is my new home and I’m very happy there.”
Janette is currently hosting the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour, which includes stars such as Rose-Ayling Ellis, Tilly Ramsay and Maisie Smith.
She wrapped her debut series of presenting It Takes Two in December, having taken over the role from Zoe Ball.
On the encouragement she’d received from her predecessor, Janette added: “[Zoe has] been so supportive.
“She was messaging me throughout the whole series, ‘you’re doing great. I’m watching you. Well done’.
“So, it was a sensational transition. If I do want to get into presenting [It Takes Two] is the best thing I could do.”
Janette last appeared as a competing professional dancer in the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside popstar HRVY.
While not competing in the BBC show’s most recent run, she did perform during the 2021 final alongside her husband Aljaž Škorjanec.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One. This Morning airs weekdays on ITV.
