James Jordan: 'Why would she say that?' Strictly star slams Shirley Ballas' 'favouritism'

James Jordan, 41, has spoken out about Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas’ gushing comments about Emma Barton and Anton du Beke’s Charleston. During last night’s quarter-final, Shirley told the EastEnders actress: “Well I think, Emma, you just fast-tracked your way to the final with that dance.

“It was synchronised, it was on point, you were together.”

She added: “Emma, your personality, your authenticity, your delivery, your footwork, your swivels, fantastic.”

While reflecting on the performances from the episode in his HELLO! Magazine column alongside wife Ola Jordan, James seemed perplexed about why Shirley would suggest Emma would reach the final over Kelvin Fletcher or Karim Zeroual.

Ola seemed to agree with her other half as she told the publication: “I don’t know why Shirley said that Emma had just danced her way into the final.”

James also took to Twitter last night to share his thoughts about the exciting quarter-final.

He exclaimed in view of his 266,000 followers: “BEST WEEK OF #Strictly THIS SERIES

“I take my hat off to all of the pros!!! They are what makes the show so great…. FACT!

“Brilliant brilliant entertainment tonight.”

Elsewhere, James recently moaned about his pregnant wife Ola on social media after they disagreed about the temperature of their house.

He posted on Instagram and Twitter: “It’s so b****y cold in my house I’m actually thinking of sleeping outside tonight and all The_OlaJordan keeps saying is ‘I’m hot’.”

The dancer added: “I would turn the heating on but she scares the s**t out of me at the moment.”

James concluded the post with the hashtags: “#HelpMe #Pregnantwife.”

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs tonight at 7.20pm on BBC One.
