James Jordan takes swipe at Janette and HRVY’s top score as he backs Clara 'Not my bag'

Strictly Come Dancing began with Clara Amfo, 36, and Aljaž Škorjanec, 30, performing the Jive this evening. Despite her efforts, judges pointed out the radio one presenter’s mistakes but said she performed better than last week.

The dancing duo were awarded a total of 19 points out of a potential 30.

Later on in the show, Janette Manrara, 36, and HRVY, 21, became the first couple of the series to score top marks from the judges.

The dancing duo performed a show-stopping couple’s choice routine to Coldplay’s Sky Full Of Stars.

During the show, former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan, 42, took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the dances this evening.

The dancer also went on to query judge Motsi Mabuse’s score of seven for Clara.

Despite this, James said he was voting for the radio presenter to stay in the competition.

“I’M VOTING FOR CLARA,” he told his followers.

“(I don’t care she’s not the best, I love them and gutted for her).”

James went on to question the judges’ 30 points for Janette and HRVY.

He said: “HRVY – Couples choice BUT what I really liked was Janette choreographed that with so much partnering, which for me made it so much better than Jamie last week for example.

“It was a great dance which was very entertaining but not the technique of Ballroom and Latin. Well done.

He added: “I personally wouldn’t have given a 10 but it’s definitely not wrong to get 3 10’s as it was exceptional just not my bag.”
