Dancing on Ice 2019 winner James Jordan, 40, was spotted leaving the Fortius Clinic in central London yesterday after documenting his stay on social media.
The former professional dancer, who shot to fame on Strictly Come Dancing, was admitted to the clinic for surgery on his shoulder after suffering a nasty injury during the ice skating competition.
James fell badly during rehearsals for the final of the ITV show. However, time with the physiotherapist allowed him to compete in the last round of the contest and scoop the trophy with his professional partner Alexandra Schauman, 38.
Ahead of the surgery, James took to Instagram to tell his 157,000 followers that he was feeling “really nervous” as he waited for the operation to take place.
Lying in a hospital bed, his wife Ola Jordan asked: “Are you ok darling?” to which he replied: “No I’m nervous and you are annoying me”.
James explained that his wife was planning to go shopping while he was in theatre.
In footage posted on his Instagram story, the dancer said: “So, it’s all getting very real now, I’m all robed up ready to go down. Ola’s over there putting her make-up on. I know as soon as I go she’s going shopping because we are in London.”
As the camera panned round to Ola she could be seen applying her lipstick and jokingly raised her arms to exclaim: “Yay!”
James continued: ”No sympathy at all from Ola, she actually just said to me, ‘It’s only an arm’.”
The 36-year-old professional dancer later took to her own Instagram account to give her 218,000 followers an update on the patient and thank their fans for their support.
She wrote: “All good! He is out of surgery, awake and having coffee and biscuits. Thank you everyone for your messages.”
The couple, who have been married for 16 years, wore casual attire of jogging bottoms and trainers as they made their way home.
