James Corden revealed a slimmed down look as he stepped out after his interview with Prince Harry aired, having lost over a stone five weeks into his partnership with WW in a bid to improve his health.

The talk show host previously revealed he is ‘fed up with the way I look’ and has teamed up with WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) to make changes.

James appeared to have already started his transformation when he was spotted stopping at a petrol station ahead of Sunday night’s Golden Globes.

The 42-year-old was dressed casually in a black Celine hoodie with black shorts and grey trainers, with a black face mask over his nose and mouth as he filled his car.

He also made sure to stock up on ice while he was out before tuning in to the Golden Globes from home on Sunday night, where he was nominated for his performance in Netflix film Prom.

Appearing in a campaign video for WW, James vowed that 2021 would be the year he would improve his fitness.

He shared that he has tried to adopt healthier habits in the past but didn’t succeed, and it was ‘starting to get me down in a way’.

James added: ‘I’ve just sort of never been able to stick to anything like that.

‘I’ve spent a long time accepting that this is my body and that’s it. But I really am sick and tired of just doing the same thing every year.’

The Gavin and Stacey star wants to ‘change the way that I live’ for his family – wife Julia and their children Max, Carey and Charlotte.

James was initially hesitant to go on a diet because ‘as a man, it’s historically seen as [not] very sexy to say that you’re on a diet’.

The dad-of-three went on: ‘I actually think, I think it is the single most positive and sexy thing you can do to say, “I would like to be a bit healthier. I would like to be the healthiest person to my family for my children. I would like to feel better.”’

Although the results of James’ new venture are visible, the TV star insisted he is more concerned with ‘wellness’ rather than losing weight.

Speaking to fellow WW ambassador Oprah Winfrey on Facebook, he added: ‘The weight is not the issue, it’s the wellness of it I am ready to tackle. I’m going to take this year and work towards getting healthy.

‘If 2020 taught us anything it was that taking care of yourself has to be a priority. I called WW because I absolutely believe that they have the tools in place to help me make this change.’

The Late Late Show star’s new look also comes after his interview with Prince Harry aired on TV in the US this week.

Chatting together on an open top bus, the royal spoke about his life in America with wife Meghan Markle – who is pregnant with their second child – and son Archie.
