James Bond No Time To Die

The latest James Bond film, No Time To Die, will not be re-edited between now and it’s November release date as it’s ‘great as it is’.

The film was set to be released last week, but was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic causing cinemas around the world to close, and now won’t be released until November.

Director Cary Fukunaga is confident about the offering though, claiming it won’t need to be touched from now until release for any edits or changes.

Answering a fan’s question on Instagram on whether there would be any ‘trimming and polishing’ in the extra months, Cary said: ‘Some people have asked me this and although more time would have been lovely, we had to put our pencils down when we finished our post-production window, which was thankfully before COVID shut everything else down.

‘Although Bond is a big movie, we still have to weigh cost with value. And like anything, you could tinker endlessly.

‘The movie is great as it is, hope y’all will feel same too when it comes out.’

No Time To Die features a theme song by Billie Eilish and will be Daniel Craig’s last turn as superspy 007.

The movie’s villain, Safin, will be played by Rami Malek, and other stars in the cast include Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes.

Several movies have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, meaning their release dates have been pushed back by months due to the outbreak.

Social distancing measures have meant that places of non-essential gatherings such as cinemas were among the first to be closed down until the outbreak is over.

No Time To Die is due for release on 12 November in UK cinemas.
