James Bond theory: Major villain TWIST coming in No Time To Die for Blofeld

Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond may have been postponed until November. However, fans have been speculating over No Time To Die‘s mysterious plot since the trailers were released. Rami Malek’s Safin is the villain this time around, with some fans thinking he’s actually Dr No but is there another major twist hiding in plain sight?

What if Safin is a screenwriter’s ruse and actually it’s Christopher Waltz’s Blofeld, once again, who is really the evil mastermind this time around.

After all, Bond’s arch-nemesis was rumoured for a return in No Time To Die before Waltz was spotted on the Pinewood Studios set.

Then the first No Time To Die trailer landed and showed Bond visiting Blofeld in prison.

Clearly the Spectre boss knows about Safin and also the terrible secret that connects him to Madeleine Swann.

Our best bet is that Safin is something of a Spectre agent gone rogue.

Maybe Blofeld wants Bond to stop Malek’s villain as his plans are in conflict with Spectre’s interests?

For all we know, Safin is killed off halfway through the movie like Snoke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, before it was revealed that Emperor Palpatine was behind everything all along.

Another comparison would be Sir Ben Kingsley’s Iron Man 3 villain.

The national treasure played Marvel villain The Mandarin. However, the big twist was that he was actually an actor called Trevor Slattery pretending to be this cunning terrorist.

In the end, it was revealed that Guy Pearce’s Aldrich Killian was the true Mandarin all along.

Whatever happens, there’s certainly more than meets the eye to Blofeld’s involvement.

No Time To Die will be released in UK cinemas on November 12, 2020.
