Bond 25 will finally hit screens in April. After 14 years and five films this the final outing for Daniel Craig. All eyes are now looking to what comes next. Newcomers like Richard Madden, James Norton and Sam Heughan have dominated speculation recently but don’t discount some of the established stars who are still in the running. One of them is currently making a major comeback in the odds.
UK bookies BoyleSports just announced a flurry of bets of Hardy which have boosted his position.
A spokesman said: Tom Hardy would make a great James Bond and it’s no wonder we are seeing a large increase in bets placed on him. He ticks all the boxes with producers said to favour someone British and extremely handsome.”
It’s fair to say that criteria applies to most of the favourites, although Hardy certainly brings more brawn to the mix than most.
His odds to replace Daniel Craig have been halved over the past few days from 20/1 to 10/.

Recently major claims were made in the UK press that James Norton has already landed the role.
The article said Norton’s friends had been rather indiscrete at a recent celebration, telling bystanders that he was the next James Bond.
The actor is currently showing his sensitive side on the big screen alongside Emma Watson and Timothee Chalamet in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women as his profile continues to rise.
At 34 and a strapping 6’1, he fits the physical profile and bears more than a little resemblance to Craig himself.
As always, every time there is a surge is speculation on a particular star, the actor in question is quick to acknowledge how flattering it is but deny they know anything.
Norton has done just that.
Perhaps Tom hardy is still in with a chance after all…
