James Bond film No Time To Die has been confirmed to be the longest film of the franchise ever made.

Running at two hours and 54 minutes, fans are going to have to sit through intense action sequence after intense action sequence and hope they won’t need the loo.

As it is still being edited, running times could alter.

‘Distributors and cinemas have to be told well in advance how long a film is so they can plan the number of daily screenings,’ the source told The Mail on Sunday. ‘This film is so long because they were constantly adding pages to the script and filming went on way longer than was scheduled.

‘First, there were script issues and then Daniel got injured. He wants his final Bond to be perfect but a lot of people are going to be leaving the cinema to have a bathroom break because this one is clocking in at nearly three hours.

‘It’s a great film, but there’s a very real fear that audiences are going to be kicking their heels at the length of this one.’

If you’ve watched the Irishman (which is three hours and 29 minutes long), the 25th James Bond film will be a breeze.

Meanwhile, James Bond himself Daniel Craig admitted he feared he wouldn’t be physically able to take on No Time To Die, as it is confirmed the latest film will be his final.

Following Spectre, released in 2015, 51-year-old Daniel revealed his plans to step down from the role of the suave 007 spy after wondering if his body could take on another film.

After needing arthroscopic surgery after injuring his knee during a fight scene with Dave Bautista in his last outing, we can hardly blame the man for wanting to look after himself.

He admitted to Entertainment Weekly: ‘I finished that movie with a broken leg. I had to question myself: Was I physically capable of doing [another one] or did I want to do another one? Because that phone call to your wife saying “I’ve broken my leg” is not pleasant.’

Metro.co.uk have gone to reps for comment.

No Time To Die is in cinemas 2 April.
