James Bond and Neighbours actor Bryan Marshall dies aged 81


ACTOR Bryan Marshall who played Commander Talbot in James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me has died.

The actor was 81-years-old.

Marshall’s death has been confirmed to Daily Star Online by ECA agent Esta Charkham.

Taking to Twitter June 25, Charkham: “So sad that my dear old chum Bryan Marshall has gone on ahead.

“A wonderful actor – he was so good you never noticed how good he was.

“He was a valued chum. His credits are a catalogue of classic British and Australian TV.”

She added: “Fare Forward Dearest Bryan.”

During his role in The Spy Who Loved Me, Marshall plays the role of Commander Talbot who captains the HMS Ranger.

At the begging of the 1977 film he is captured before later being freed by Bond [Roger Moore].

Marshall started his acting career in the 60s when he appeared in iconic Michael Caine film Alfie.

He later starred in The Long Good Friday and Mosquito Squadron.

In 1989 Marshall moved into TV and hosted Australia’s Most Wanted.

The show was a Down Under version of US series America’s Most Wanted.

He also appeared in a string of TV shows including Aussie soap Neighbours and Home and Away.
