James Arthur believes Logan Paul was ‘robbed of a fair fight’ after he lost to KSI in their tense boxing rematch, and blames the referee.
KSI, 26, was victorious after taking down his rival YouTuber Logan, 24, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, a year after their fight in Manchester failed to produce a clear winner.
After declaring himself a Logan supporter, James says the American star didn’t have the chance to a fair fight after having points deducted at one point.
‘That knockdown was clean, deducting 2 points is a joke robbed of a fair fight,’ James told his Twitter followers in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He added: ‘The damage was done with the hook! You lot don’t know what you’re watching.’
Blaming the referee, he said: ‘What was the referee doing there, criminal.’
Calling for an end to YouTube stars hashing out their tension in the ring, he stated: ‘Either way horrible fight to watch and weird refereeing, no more youtube fights.’
Despite showing support for Logan earlier in the evening, he later claimed: ‘I’m not for anyone! just wanted a good,fair fight and the referee made a wack call.’
Sharing his predictions, the Say You Won’t Let Go singer previously tweeted: ‘Logan paul By KO [sic].’
James, 31, then got into a war of words with one of KSI’s best YouTube pals Calfreezy, who said: ‘You’re a wetty.’
The British singer replied: ‘I’ll slap the head off you.’
Calfreezy hit back: ‘Surely a grown man isn’t tweeting like this. Strings.’ But James responded: ‘Are you not a grown man? You call people wetty’s on the internet acting hard from the safety of your home.’
When one of his Twitter followers claimed James ‘went broke’ after The X Factor, the popstar clapped back: ‘I just sold out 2 tours and had the biggest record in the country about a week ago, just coz KS3 didn’t do a vlog about it doesn’t mean it’s not “relevant”. I hate you kids today.’
James isn’t the only popstar weighing in on the highly-publicised rematch.
Justin Bieber was in attendance at the fight and sat in Logan’s VIP section, later claiming: ‘Logan was the better fighter. Period.’
But KSI’s response to a possible fight with the What Do You Mean? singer: ‘Bieber, please. I’d slap Bieber.’
