‘I had the honour of filming with him a lot on Towie and also to be good friends away from the show.’

He continued: ‘You will be sorely missed by so many!

‘Thank you for the many memories in the sugar hut, the wild parties, the advice and dropping me off to get my R8. The world has lost a very good man.

‘RIP Mick Norcross ❤️’.

Rebekah Vardy commented on Mario’s post: ‘So very sorry to read this @mariofalcone.

‘Sending so much love to all of Mick’s friends and family. I didn’t know him personally but I still knew that he was a proper gentleman and an absolute legend. Only ever heard good stories about him ‘

Love Island star Chris Hughes added: ‘RIP Mick. Had the pleasure of meeting you once, lovely bloke, very sad. Thoughts with all his family and friends.’

Jess Wright shared a photo of Norcross, writing: ‘Terribly terribly sad.

‘Always such a gentleman & so kind. Devastated for him & his family. Sending love to them at this time. Rip Mick.’

Elliott Wright, who has also starred on Towie over the course of seven years, left a broken heart in response to Norcross’s final tweet, as did Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi.

Essex Police told Metro.co.uk in a statement: ‘We were called to an address in Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January.

‘Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.’

Norcross chose to leave reality TV in 2013 and revealed on his exit that he felt being a part of the show was damaging his nightclub’s brand.

As well as continuing on as Sugar Hut’s owner, Mick worked as a property developer and stepped away from the public eye.

He is survived by son Kirk and Kirk’s two children; son Harry and daughter Violett.
