Jameela Jamil calls out Kim Kardashian over body make-up launch

Jameela Jamil has criticised Kim Kardashian’s new body make-up, telling Twitter users that she “refuses” to have scars and marks “weaponised against [her].”

As Kardashian shared a Twitter post to mark the launch of her new range of foundations, which are intended for use all over the body rather than just the face, the Good Place star said she’d give the products a “hard pass.”

“God damn the work to take it all off before bed so it doesn’t destroy your sheets… I’d rather just make peace with my million stretch marks and eczema,” she wrote.

“Taking off my mascara is enough of a pain in the a***. Save money and time and give yourself a damn break.”

The actress and presenter went on to explain that she has “severe eczema,” “stretch marks” and scarring due to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, telling followers that they are “normal human marks” that should not be “weaponised.”

Though some followers took issue with her forthright stance on Kardashian’s new launch, Jamil claimed that women have been “taught to hate [their] natural bod[ies].”

“I think we should all just be working every date towards being kinder to, and more accepting of ourselves,” she concluded. “If we wouldn’t tell our loved ones to cover up their marks, then why do we tell it to ourselves?”

Kardashian is yet to address Jamil’s latest comments, but previously alluded to the star’s critical stance towards her in a recent interview with the New York Times.

Referring to Jamil’s outrage at her decision to promote diet products on social media, the reality star told the publication that she chooses “work that is really easy that doesn’t take away from our kids and said that she is “going to get backlash for almost everything.”
