Piers Morgan and Jameela Jamil have had a very public spat (again) in the wake of online claims the actress has Munchausen’s syndrome.

Jameela was recently the target of online trolls who claimed she has been lying about her previous illnesses.

In the past, the star has been open about having congenital hearing loss and labyrinthitis, as well as hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which causes loose joints, joint pain, stretchy skin and abnormal scar formation.

She’s also spoke at length about an incident at the age of 17 when she was struck by a car, breaking several bones and damaging her spine, crediting it with ‘changing her life’.

Munchausen’s syndrome is classed as a mental disorder in which a person repeatedly and deliberately acts as if they have a physical or mental illness when they are in fact not sick.

On Twitter the Good Morning Britain presenter accused her of having ‘1,345 virtue-signalling victimhood-craving ailments’ when she told fans her nut allergies had ‘cleared up’.

The presenter hit back, writing: ‘There is no cure for you being a pointless, boring misogynist p***k sadly.’

But Piers wasn’t done there, tweeting in response: ‘Hi Jameela, lovely to hear from you as always, especially as you battle your latest terrible affliction, Munchausen syndrome.

‘I hear it can make “victims” angry & abusive, so I forgive you & wish you well with your treatment.’

Jameela recently came out as ‘queer’ in the wake of backlash to her role on a reality TV show about ballroom culture – and Piers had something to say about that as well.

Last month the outspoken host called Jameela a ‘race-bating, vile specimen’ as they rowed over the treatment of Meghan Markle by the media.

The star of The Good Place recently slammed ‘dumb internet conspiracies’ about her health.

‘First I’m lying about my sexuality, now I’m now being accused of munchausens?’ she wrote.

‘By an unhinged idiot who didn’t even realise in all her “research” that my car accident injury stories are “different” because they were about TWO SEPARATE CAR ACCIDENTS 13 years apart? You can keep it.’

The 33-year-old went on to add to the doubters: ‘Ehlers Danlos Syndrome means always having people doubt your illness and injuries because you look okay. #edsawareness #itisntinyourhead #imsorrypeopleared*cks.’

She continued: ‘Man, if as many people spent their time and energy helping others/fighting injustice as they do dragging and slandering people on the internet the world would be in such good shape.’

‘Not afraid of you or your dumb internet conspiracy theories. Keep them coming,’ she wrote. ‘You just add to my relevance. I’m gonna keep helping people with eating disorders, and changing laws and global policies to protect kids and their mental health and there’s NOTHING you can do about it.’
