Jake Paul defends claims that KSI vs Logan Paul rematch was ‘rigged’

Jake Paul has doubled down on his claims that the KSI vs Logan Paul fight was ‘rigged’.

The YouTube star was left devastated after his brother lost to KSI – real name Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji – at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, making some pretty bold claims after the match.

‘I’ve been in this sport for a year now. I shouldn’t be saying this. But all this f***ing sh** is rigged,’ he previously told reporters.

Alrighty then.

Doubling down on his remarks in a video, the 22-year-old said: ‘I’m not saying that the KSI vs Logan Paul fight was rigged – but I’m also not saying that it wasn’t.’

The star added: ‘I believe in conspiracy theories and all the crazy stuff so I don’t put anything in this world past being true.’

However, Jake admitted the fight has given him some respect for JJ, confessing: ‘I think KSI is a great fighter and I gained a level of respect I have for him that I didn’t have before.’

Nevertheless he definitely hasn’t taken his brother’s loss quietly, sharing a video of himself breaking down in tears following the fight, and getting into a heated row with coach Shannon Briggs.

Jake revealed he held back his opinions during Logan’s training camp, arguing that his brother could have ‘turned up the volume’.

‘I never spoke up or said anything or gave any of my advice because I trusted what Shannon was teaching him,’ he said. ‘I kept my opinions to myself.’

Getting into a heated row, the YouTuber accused the former heavyweight champ of telling Logan it’s okay if he loses in his professional debut.

Shannon denied Jake’s claims (with Logan backing him up), but the younger Paul brother wasn’t having any of it.

‘I’m saying stop being a yes man,’ he told the coach, with his brother warning him: ‘That’s a dangerous term to throw around, Jake.’

Jake also previously said he disagreed with the referee’s decision, claiming he’s going to ‘avenge’ his brother.

KSI was the underdog in the eagerly anticipated rematch, but took the victory from a split decision following a fierce fight against his American opponent.
