JADE Goody’s bridesmaid reveals her sons keep her memory alive by regularly talking about her.
Appearing on today’s Lorraine to mark the ten-year anniversary of the reality star’s death, her pals admitted they always talk to Bobby, 15, and Freddie, 14, about their late mum.
Her friend Charlene said: “They do [talk about her all the time]. She’s kept very much alive.
“When we’re around the boys we tell them stories, show them photos. Jade’s very much still around.”
Her comment came after the boys, who were just five and four years old at the time of their mum’s death, revealed they are planning on hosting a quiz night for their family and friends – and Jeff couldn’t be prouder.
The TV presenter, 39, took to Twitter last night to unveil their plans, telling fans: “Staggeringly, Its been 10 years my children have had to do without the most important person in their life.
“To their absolute credit, they want to mark the occasion remembering their Mum by raising money for charity at their private quiz night amongst family and friends.”
Jeff, who dated Jade between 2002 and 2004, continued: “They have personally chosen @mariecurieuk because of how fantastic they have heard the nurses were in caring for their Mum in her final days.
They have also elected to support @GOSHCharity on this occasion for their work with the bravest of children too.”
He went on to reveal how much the public’s support means to him and boys.
The star added: “As a parent i thank you for embracing their bravery in daring to remember joyfully. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to encourage and they both look forward to creating an evening that their Mum would have so loved to have been at the heart of. This for us is how you truly pay respect.”
Jade shot to fame in 2002 and was just 27 years old when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer six years later, which she was told about during a stint on Indian reality show Bigg Boss.
The star died in her sleep in the early hours of March 22, 2009, having married Jack Tweed just weeks earlier.
