As Daily Star Online revealed in July, Dan Osborne’s baby-mama will join a host of famous faces as they battle it out to be King or Queen of the jungle.
Despite being snapped up by I’m A Celeb bosses, Jacqueline had initially hoped to take part on X Factor: Celebrity but things didn’t go to plan.
A source told Daily Star Online: “Jacqueline did meet with X Factor: Celebrity bosses but things didn’t go to plan.
“There is no denying she has a great voice but producers decided not to take things further.
“Once things were clearly not progressing Jacqueline sat down with I’m A Celeb bosses.
“Despite being line-up over the summer, contracts weren’t signed until just a few weeks ago.”
Jacqueline will be joined by Caitlyn Jenner, Myles Stephenson, Kate Garraway and Ian Wright in the jungle.
After a year off Ant McPartlin will return to co-host the show alongside Declan Donnelly.
The TV superstar pulled out of all work commitments in 2018 to focus on his health.
Speaking ahead of Ant and Dec’s ITV DNA documentary, Ant admitted he thought their career was over after his drink-drive arrest.
The Geordie star said: “Our friendship has been tested and we have come through the other end.
“And I will be forever grateful and thankful for the love we have.
“I thought the public had had enough.
“I just thought I wouldn’t be allowed to do what I love anymore, which was a very sad affair.”
