Jack Grealish urged to reject Man Utd transfer as Aston Villa star 'could do better'

Jack Grealish has been urged to turn down a move to Man Utd as he is ‘too good for them’.

The Aston Villa star has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford this summer after an impressive season back in the Premier League.

United are targeting the 24-year-old, who has an outside chance of sneaking into England’s Euro 2020 squad.

But Grealish’s former teammate Gabriel Agbonlahor feels the midfielder should set his sights higher.

“I am not just saying this as I have played with him, but I honestly think he is the best attacking midfield option that England have got at this current time,” Agbonlahor told the Sun .

“That is why, when people say Grealish to Manchester United , he could do so much better than that.

“He could walk into any team in the world, even Barcelona  or  Juventus .

“For where Manchester United are now, he could go to better teams around the world, so he doesn’t need to limit himself to just United and focus on teams who are playing in the Champions League.”

Grealish has contributed eight goals and seven assists to his side in the Premier League so far this season, but is still yet to receive his first international call-up.

The Villa captain will have another big chance to impress Three Lions’ boss Gareth Southgate on Sunday as he leads his side into the Carabao Cup final against Man City.

And Agbonlahor feels his old colleague has the tools to create a bit of magic at Wembley.

“The good thing about Jack is that he can run with and without the ball, play in different positions and score goals,” he added.

“He is the type of player that fans of football will go to a game to specifically watch him, even if they aren’t fans of Villa.”
