ITV This Morning viewers confused over unusual format change 'What is going on?'

Phillip Schofield, 57, and Holly Willoughby, 38, got the show underway as the Scarecrow and Dorothy respectively. Although This Morning viewers were informed throughout the week there would be a light change to proceedings, some were confused by what was happening.

As well as tying in with the Halloween festivities, the show is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Hollywood blockbuster.

To begin the show, the opening titles were cut short as Holly was seen arriving to the studio in a taxi which was then swept up by a tornado.

Arriving in the studio, the presenter donned the iconic red-ruby slippers as Phillip was seen hanging from a post as he took on the Scarecrow persona.

Taking to Twitter, viewers were divided as the usual format was disrupted with the hosts instead acting out scenes from the movie.
