ITV Loose Women: Iain Stirling interrupts show by causing chaos after Love Island blunder

Iain, 31, is best known for his role on Love Island and has been a pinnacle part of the ITV reality show since it was revived back in 2015. Ahead of the hit programme returning next week, the presenter spoke with the ladies of Loose Women about various topics, including his girlfriend Laura Whitmore, 34, taking on the main hosting duties. However, throughout the conversation, he forgot to plug the first ever winter edition and caused chaos on the set to ensure he got the line in minutes after his interview had finished.

The voiceover presenter joined Andrea McLean, 50, Stacey Solomon, 30, Denise Welch, 61, and Judi Love, 39, to discuss the upcoming series.

His first appearance went according to plan, or so it seemed as he made an impromptu second stint later on in the show.

About 15 minutes after his initial interview, Iain could be heard from backstage as the presenters went on to discuss whether they would bath with their partners.

In the midst of their conversation, the ladies were cut off as the Love Island star came back after forgetting some vital information about the programme’s return.

“Excuse me, sorry…” Iain declared as he made his way back to the set, with the hosts looking around to see what was happening.

The voiceover presenter then explained himself, telling the Loose Women how he had been told to come back on by ITV bosses.

Revealing the blunder he made, the Scotsman said: “I’ve been sent back out by ITV because I forgot to say the time, channel and date of when Love Island starts.

“12th of January at 9pm,” the guest reiterated as the panel burst into hysterics over the comedic error.

As he said his hellos, Iain exclaimed: “I just fell over.”

He then joked: “New Year’s resolution, don’t be an idiot on the tele.”

The hit reality show will be taking place in South Africa as a whole batch of singletons hope to find love.

Voiceover presenter Iain isn’t seen in any footage during the episodes, with his Scottish tones narrating the coverage.

Spilling some secrets about what he gets up to away from the set, the Loose Woman guest explained: “I go for a run and then get in at 2pm in the afternoon.”

“The show is basically a skeleton at that point then me and my friend Mark go through it and add jokes,” he added.

It’s yet to be announced who will be entering the villa next week, but rumours are already circulating.

Who will take the crown from reining champions Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea?

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
