ITV Good Morning Britain: ‘Goodbye!’ Piers Morgan stunned as guest hangs up live on air

Good Morning Britain fans certainly knew who triumphed in Soccer Aid 2019 last night as Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid went head-to-head.

Piers, 54, triumphed during the football match after storming to victory with his “World 11” team.

Earlier today, Piers and Susanna caught up with Mark Wright, who played for the latter on the England team.

Although he lost, he was certainly in high spirits, and reflected on the match last night.

When the chat came to an end, Susanna praised: “And a terrific game last night, Mark. You played a blinder and you were absolutely brilliant.”

The former TOWIE star nodded his head, blew a kiss, and thanked the host for her work managing the England team.

However, Piers couldn’t resist getting one final dig in as he took the ultimate swipe.

The outspoken host said: “Well, you did play a blinder because only a blind man would miss the goal by that much!”

Susanna put her hands up as if she was innocent and yelled in shock at the joke.

Mark shouted “goodbye” a couple of times and then hung up on Good Morning Britain, leaving the second half of the split screen blank.

The whole team found Mark’s actions completely hilarious as they all erupted in giggles from it.

Last night’s Soccer Aid was a stunning affair and is thought to have raised around £10 million for UNICEF.

However, it wasn’t without its moments and it seemed Rita Ora’s wardrobe choice distracted viewers.

Rita performed in the half-time show where she sang her new tune, Ritual, for the packed crowd.

Some weren’t convinced by her outfit she was wearing, which saw her go for asymmetry.

Rita donned a pair of jeans except one leg’s length was cut right up to the top of her thigh.

Furthermore, she had a white T-shirt with slashes across it, showcasing her enviably body.

One viewer said of her outfit: “Rita Ora’s trousers are an accurate representation of British summer #SoccerAid.”

Another shared: “Why is Rita Ora wearing one full trouser leg of jeans and one leg short? It’s not like when you are in bed where you have one foot in and one foot out #SoccerAid #SoccerAid2019.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
