It’s time to lose the layers, it’s tank top season! Here are 15 styles to update your spring outfits

While the white t-shirt reigns supreme as the ultimate basic top, now there’s a sniff of spring in the air our limbs are looking for the light. Enter the tank top. Getting your legs out is a Big Commitment. But baring your arms? It’s a baby step towards warm weather wear and we are ready, whether you call it a sleeveless vest, camisole or racer-front tank.

The versatility that a sleeveless tank can bring to your wardrobe will help you build more outfits than you can ever imagine. If you want to keep a simple silhouette but add a little colour, Arket’s silk knitted tank in lavender is one of our faves (which would look dreamy with stone-washed jeans.) Topshop’s lemon yellow funnel neck top is similarly poppy and would look super cool with khaki chinos. For something that’s more of an investment, Kenzo’s pastel leopard print top or Chloe’s red and white striped tank upgrade the basic tank to a fashion statement and we’re here for it.
