It Chapter Two gets Cineworld 4DX and Screen X treatment – Are YOU brave enough?

Next week the highly-anticipated follow-up and conclusion to 2017’s It arrives in cinemas. At almost three hours long, the horror is expected to be one intense ride. But now there’s a way to have an even more immersive experience of Pennywise’s return. Cineworld cinemas have announced that It: Chapter Two will be available in their 4DX and Screen X screens across the UK.

The 4DX experience sees your cinema seat move with the action on screen, accompanied by wind, mist, fog, lighting and even smell effects.

Cineworld says that 4DX has “a unique benefit for horror films, as these things can enhance the jump moments and give more of the roller coaster thrills.”

Meanwhile, another immersive way to watch It: Chapter Two is in Screen X, which uses five projectors to expand the film beyond the screen to the left and right walls, all the way to the back.

Cineworld said: “The audience are truly immersed in the experience, taking fear levels to a whole new level.”

He added: “It has been on Earth for millions of years. He’s been in contact with humans for hundreds of years, every 27 years.

“So you can imagine the amount of material. It’s always exciting to think of eventually exploring this mythology.

“It’s very exciting. But, for now, there’s nothing on the table.”

It: Chapter Two is released in UK cinemas on September 6, 2019.
