The infected people had both recently returned from abroad, according to the country’s health minister.

One of the men infected is a doctor who had returned from holiday in northern Italy, while the other is a worker from Spain.

Can I cancel my flight to Portugal?

The advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is to avoid all travel to the Chinese Province and all but essential travel to mainland China, some parts of South Korea and 11 towns in the north of Italy.

As a result, it will be difficult to obtain a refund if you cancel a trip elsewhere.

This means insurance will only cover areas where the FCO has advised against travelling.

Portugal is currently not included.

With airlines restricting travel to several destinations, you should check your flight status before making any trips with your airline.
