Investment management group bolsters Edinburgh team

Investment management group 7IM has hired two new senior staff to join its Edinburgh office.

Craig Forbes and Jamie Kinnear have joined the private client and financial planning divisions.

Forbes becomes a private client manager, moving from Brewin Dolphin, where he spent five years as a divisional director advising and managing investments for private clients, charities and trusts.

He also worked for 17 years at Barclays, holding a number of investment management and private banking positions across the UK.

Kinnear joined at the start of June as a financial planner. He has more than 18 years of experience, previously working with Hargreaves Lansdown and Osprey Financial Services, working with clients across Scotland who required specialist financial advisory services.

Colin Rowe, managing director of private clients at 7IM, said: “7IM has been operating in Scotland since 2018 and we remain committed to growing both our presence and the capabilities we can offer to our clients here.

“The on the ground support we are able to provide to our clients is crucial and we are excited to keep building on our current foundation and these latest hires, and reinvesting back into our proposition and people as we look to deliver on our ambitious growth plans for the region over the coming months and years.”
