Inside Kate Langbroek's traditional Italian home in Bologna

Kate Langbroek has shared a rare glimpse inside her incredible Italian home. 

After moving to the historic city of Bologna last year, the radio host gave fans a tour of her family’s stunning apartment via Instagram on Tuesday morning. 

The 54-year-old moved to Italy with husband Peter Allen Lewis and their four kids last January for a ‘gap year’ – but have since extended their move indefinitely.

Kate began her sweeping video tour in the apartment’s grand entrance. 

A circular table is the focal point of the family’s foyer, with antique vases, photo frames and furniture seen scattered around the sizable room. 

With oak floorboards running throughout, Kate then stepped into her dining room and lounge space, which has a huge corner sofa for relaxing.

Beyond that, a large dining table is set up by an antique bookshelf.

During the tour, Kate also joked about her ‘haunted’ mirror. 

It comes after the star’s selfie with a friend in front of the stunning piece of furniture went viral last year, after fans noticed a ghostly apparition behind her. 

In July, Kate shared a picture of her stunning bedroom inside the apartment.

It’s huge! The apartment, which looks over the famed Piazza Maggiore, a central square in Bologna, has plenty of space for the family to relax and store their things 

With a huge chandelier above her bed, striped wallpaper, luxurious drapes and floral sheets, it is not hard to see why Kate has fallen in love with her Italian lifestyle. 

‘It seemed impossible our apartment would ever be ready, and yet here we are. I have 20 loads of washing to do and ten suitcases to unpack,’ said Kate last July.

She then joked: ‘I think I’ll have a glass of wine and a siesta.’

With large windows and shutters, the family wake up each day to views of the famed Piazza Maggiore, a central square in Bologna.  

After spending Christmas in Australia, Kate said on Tuesday: ‘When you arrive ‘home’ to your apartment in Italy, and tho it is as cold [as f**k] cause you’ve had the heating off for two weeks, you also see with fresh eyes how beautiful it is.’
