Inside Amanda Holden’s Surrey haven where she’s self-isolating and hosting her radio show

Amanda Holden has been doing her best to bring us her Heart Breakfast radio show on weekday mornings to keep our spirits up amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Britain’s Got Talent star, like many people, is self-isolating at home with her husband Chris Hughes and two daughters Lexi, 14, and eight-year-old Hollie.

Given that the presenter is now working from home and cooped up with the family, she has been sharing pictures of her gaffe on social media as she reports in to work – with her dog sometimes getting in on the fun.

Amanda clearly has an eye for interior design (or knows someone who does) as her home looks both cosy and stylish, straight out of a catalogue.

We can’t resist having a snoop around.

While the lucky radio host also has a pad in the Cotswolds countryside where she can escape for some peace and quiet, her Surrey home is her main residence.

She told House Beautiful about her home: ‘We have two little girls and don’t want them feeling that they’re treading on eggshells.’

The house was originally built in the 1930s, and still has its original hallway.

She has described the decoration as being influenced by America, as she and her family ‘spend a lot of time in Los Angeles’.

And she and her TV producer husband made sure they made room for little luxuries such as a lounge bar and a walk-in wardrobe, which Chris converted out of their fourth bedroom.

Amanda has also been using her extra free time at home to dial in for digital nights ‘out’ with her girlfriends, all from the comfort of her own kitchen table.

Not only is it good practice of social distancing and way cheaper than going out to a bar, but she can make sure she gets exactly the tipple she wants, made exactly the way she wants.

Her home and kitchen of course includes striking and chic pieces from her BundleBerry collection for QVC.

But there was a time when her now idyllic house was far from perfect after renovations left her and her family living among clutter.

Thanks to a little help from Style Sisters, the Petersham property was transformed into a neat and tidy haven away from the world.
