Infront Sports & Media has hired André Fläckel as its head of gaming and esports, who will report to senior VP People, Innovation, and Corporate Services, Christian Müller. The Wanda Sports Group marketing agency currently includes French esports organization Team Vitality in its portfolio, along with Italy’s eSerie A racing-sim competition, and the German FIFA team FOCUS CLAN.
Fläckel will begin his new position at Infront on April 1. From January 2017 to March of this year, he worked with Lagardère Sports, having co-founded the agency’s esports department.
“Gaming’s cultural influence has been felt for many years, especially among digital natives, and there are huge opportunities for Infront’s partners to reach fans through meaningful content,” said Fläckel, in a statement. “I’m very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to joining the organization on the next step of its esports journey.”
