Incredible Hulk movie star's MCU return teased by Falcon and The Winter Soldier set photo?

One of the MCU’s less fondly remembered movies is 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Edward Norton’s Bruce Banner was replaced in the franchise by Mark Ruffalo, but William Hurt’s villain Thaddeus Ross returned to cameo in a few movies like Captain America: Civil War and the upcoming Black Widow. Now it looks like another character from The Incredible Hulk could be making an MCU return after a The Falcon and The Winter Soldier set photo leak.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a Disney Plus miniseries following the events of Avengers Endgame.

And during shooting in November, one set photo noted a safety warning sign for a construction area.

Interestingly, the sign is by a company in the MCU called Samson Development.

Marvel fans will know this could be referring to Doc Leonard Samson, who was played by Ty Burrell in The Incredible Hulk.

Could Super Patriot be the true villain of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, with Mackie’s winged superhero having to win back the Captain America mantle that is truly his?

The Disney Plus show is directed by Kari Skogland and will also see Emily VanCamp and Daniel Bruhl reprise their roles as Sharon Carter and Helmut Zemo.

The pair were last seen in Captain America: Civil War and now are back for the streaming miniseries which takes place right after Avengers Endgame’s 2023 setting.

The Falcon and The Winter Solider is expected to be the first of the MCU’s Phase 4 Disney Plus shows, with a release date set for late 2020.

The miniseries are going to tie-in to the plots of the cinematic movies, with characters crossing over both the films and tv shows.

The new streaming service is already available in the US, but Disney announced it would launch in the UK a week earlier than expected on March 24.

Meanwhile, 2020’s other MCU Disney Plus show is WandaVision, which saw its release date moved forward from early 2021.

But will Mark Ruffalo’s Smart Hulk return for She-Hulk? Fans will have to wait and see.
