Why stay in a luxurious villa when you can stay in a luxurious villa that floats?
A stunning floating houseboat is currently being built in Tahiti and when it is complete – which should be the end of the year – it will carry guests along the idyllic blue seas off the coast of Bora Bora.
It doesn’t get much more luxurious than that.
The four-bedroom villa has a rooftop lounge with uninterrupted views of the stunning ocean and beaches. It also has a grill for fresh seafood, snorkelling equipment, and paddleboards for perfect water-based activities.
And don’t worry, you won’t have to sail your own houseboat if you ever book a room. A dedicated captain will be at the helm of the villa, so all you have to do is kick back and think about how great your life is.
The villa is being built by ELYT Charter Tahiti, and the final structure will be 51-feet long. It will sleep eight people, and will also boast two bathrooms, a fully kitted out kitchen and dining area, and a flatscreen TV.
There’s also the option of a personal chef if the kitchen is not your natural habitat.
If you get green just thinking about sailing, you have the option of renting the boat as a stationary villa. But why do that when you could be rocking up to a stunning new beauty spot every day?
Another bit of good news is that the boat is eco-friendly. It will be powered by solar panels and lithium batteries, doesn’t have a diesel engine, and has an in-hull wastewater treatment system.
You can book a stay on the boat from 1 December, with a starting price of €1,500 (£1,364) per night, and a minimum stay of three nights.
The price includes return airport transfers to the houseboat.
