Imogen Thomas and Guy Henry deliver meals to brave NHS workers as they volunteer to help in coronavirus response


CELEBS including Imogen Thomas and Holby City’s Guy Henry are helping deliver hundreds of meals a day to brave doctors and nurses fighting coronavirus.

Sexy reality star Imogen, 37, has been visiting hospital wards to hand out pizzas, Chinese takeaways, sandwiches and even roast dinners.

Meanwhile Guy, 59, is seeing docs at least once a week laden with bags stuffed with meals to keep brave key workers going at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, South London.

Lock Stock actor Jason Flemyng, 53, has also joined volunteers and pictured delivering cupcakes to exhausted frontline docs and nurses.

They join dozens of volunteers working with charity Critical NHS who visit 15 hospitals three times a day across the capital.

An estimated 1,300 meals and snacks donated by restaurants and cafes are delivered as well as hundreds of vital PPE kit including full face safety visors, safety glasses, scrub caps and heavy duty shoe covers.

Welsh stunner Imogen has urged her followers on social media to donate whatever they can to the charity.

She said: “We would love you to help out as much as you can, the NHS are doing an amazing job.

“Please donate whatever you can and if we all pull in together we will all come out of this better and stronger.

“Let’s remember to all stay home and stay safe.

“I feel blessed to be helping. It’s such an eye-opener – everyone is working so hard to protect us and I’m just glad I could help get some much-needed supplies into the hospital and help give back the NHS.”

Guy said: “We are going to be taking wonderful food to the staff. St George’s have done brilliant things for me, my friends and family over the years.

“Thank you NHS, we are stronger together.”

Charity bosses Niall Barratt and wife Janneke Diemel began after pal and St George’s senior nurse Anthea Allen appealed for snacks to cheer up the medics on her ward.

Already they have raised over £36,000 for food and essentials for NHS staff.

Niall said: “Our first run was 20 pizzas, the nurses loved that, they were so appreciative. And then it kept growing and growing.”
