I'm A Celeb's Jessica Plummer avoiding 'naked' shower scenes by packing bikinis

EastEnders star Jessica Plummer has packed four different bikinis for the I’m A Celeb shower scenes, but is reluctant to brave the Welsh outdoors while “butt-naked”.

The 28-year-old soap star, who left EastEnders as Chantelle Atkins last month, is one of 10 contestants taking part in the 20th series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, show bosses were forced to relocate the legendary I’m A Celeb campsite from sunny Australia to wintry Wales this year.

Each series, the contestants usually head to the jungle’s nearby waterfalls and rockpools for a soak, donning bikinis and swimming trunks as they bathe.

This year, Jessica is feeling a little nervous about the prospect, fearing the plummeting temperatures in Wales could prove too chilly for a bikini.

She explained: “All we’re allowed to bring into camp is four sets of underwear and four sets of swimwear to wash in. And that is all so same set up.

“I don’t know what the showering situation will be. Obviously, in Australia, they had the waterfall in the lake so they could just get in. Don’t know if we’ll have any of those.”

The former soap star then harked back to the 2006 series of I’m A Celeb, which saw singer Myleene Klass don a white bikini as she showered outdoors, going down in ITV history.

Jessica said: “Myleene has an incredible body and don’t get me wrong if you’ve got it, flaunt it, do your thing.

“But I definitely hope that the shower is not completely out there just because the weather is just going to be too cold for that. I hope that no one has to be completely butt-naked in Wales to be honest with you.”

Newly single, mum-of-one Jessica has also confirmed she has no interest in finding love in the I’m A Celeb campsite, and is instead focused on making her daughter proud.

When asked whether she was open to a new relationship, Jessica said: “No, no. I am very happy with my life as it is at the moment. I think I’m concentrating on my staff and my career and being a mom to Noa.

“Definitely not where my head is at…. but good luck to anyone that does have that agenda. Nothing wrong with it.”

Jessica’s daughter Noa Lily, four, will be supporting her mum back at home, watching the actress brave the trials and challenges created by ITV bosses.

The time spent apart from her little one will prove difficult, as Jessica revealed: “Yeah, it can be the longest I’ve the longest I’ve been away from at the moment is four days. So potentially up to three weeks is really scary.”

In a sweet gesture, the proud mum has penned personalised notes for her daughter for each day she is away filming the series.

Jessica added: “I know that it might not be three weeks, but I mean either way, it’s going to be the longest I’ve ever not seen her for. We still sleep in the same bed. We are literally joined at the hip!”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! debuts tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV.
