I’m a Celebrity star Tom Williams spoke about his infamous showdown with Charlotte Crosby on Friday.

During the spat, Tom suggested that all the former Geordie Shore star does is ‘party.’

‘Our encounter was quite early on,’ Tom told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

He added that the strain was high at the time of their spat, as the stars all adjusted to life in the jungle.

‘It was probably at that time where everyone was seriously detoxing from everything in life,’ Tom said.

'She's a real go-getter': Tom later praised Charlotte for her ambitious attitude

‘And she called me out. And that’s fine, you know. Maybe I sort of let my guard slip a little bit.’

Tom then praised Charlotte, 29, for her ambitious attitude.

‘She’s a real go-getter and a real good kid. I was happy to appease what she wanted me to do,’ he said.

The pair clashed on their second day in the jungle, after Tom suggested that all Charlotte does is ‘party.’

The pair struck up a conversation in camp, with the sports reporter taking pot-shots at the reality superstar.

‘You fly out and come back?’ he asked for her plans after the show, to which Charlotte replied: ‘I never go home. I go to Dubai and come to Australia for the whole of February.’

‘For what?’ the former The Daily Edition host snapped, ‘to party?’, to which Charlotte snapped back, ‘not to party, I got work there.’

Tom snapped again: ‘Going to parties!’ at which point the former Geordie Shore star became enraged.

No, that’s not the only thing I do. From that comment, I knew he prejudged us,’ she said.

Speaking to Tom, Charlotte added: ‘I think Tom has prejudged us!’ to which Tom insisted, ‘no, I haven’t.’

Charlotte shot back: ‘Yes you have. You have asked no questions and you made another stupid comment.’

Tom then asked Charlotte to discuss her career, and she said she was unfairly judged because of her party past on Geordie Shore.

‘We’re talking about Geordie Shore because that is when I became famous. But I have got me own reality show and two businesses and partnerships in hair, clothes,’ she insisted.

Charlotte went on: ‘I don’t just go around and drink and party. I thought maybe you judged a bit’.

Tom backed down, saying: ‘No, I apologise. I should have asked. Look, I apologise to Charlotte because perhaps she was upset by some of the things I said.’

Other I’m A Celebrity camp-mates have not been so forgiving of the British reality star in post-show interviews.

On Sunday, comedian Nikki Osbourne slammed Charlotte and said she didn’t have fond memories of her 29-year-old co-star.

‘She gave me the s**ts from time to time,’ she said bluntly during an interview on The Project

Nikki admitted Charlotte was the one who annoyed her the most on the show, describing her as an attention seeker.

‘Like, literally, she has a show called The Charlotte Show, and I think she thinks this is The Charlotte Show as well, and I don’t think she realises there is other players.’
