She’s avoided a mirror for a number of weeks after being in the jungle for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, so it’s no wonder Kate Garraway was taken aback by her own reflection after leaving the jungle.

The Good Morning Britain presenter revealed she got a great shock after seeing her ‘really crazy’ eyebrows and hair in the mirror for the first time in awhile.

The 52-year-old TV host, who came fourth in the competition, also lost a lot of weight during her time in the Aussie outback.

Speaking after a good shower at the Palazzo Versace hotel, Kate revealed: ‘I think I learned I’m braver than I think I am. I’m stronger than I think I am.

‘But I was a bit shocked when I got into the dressing room and looked in the mirror.

‘I thought “Oh, my God!” –because you don’t see yourself. There is no mirror in the jungle.’

Kate, who took on Creepy Crawlies in exchange for stars and lived on rice and beans, shared that she was weighed before and after entering the I’m A Celeb jungle and she’s lost a whole stone in weight.

‘I was really eating in there as well, so rice and beans is kind of the way to go,’ she added, according to the Mirror.

Prior to entering the camp, Kate had already lost a whopping two stone in weight which she credits to cutting out booze and sugar.

The star also made a few lifestyle changes like taking up yoga and swimming in order to get fit.

The mum-of-two revealed how shocked she was at some of her diet choices when she first started to make the changes.

Speaking to Fit & Well last year she said: ‘I didn’t think I ate a lot of sugar but by 8am, I’d always had lots of chocolate. Now I eat avocados obsessively. Having avocados and low-sugar foods help keep my energy levels up.

‘I stopped drinking caffeine and now I eat avocados obsessively because I found one of the diets was high in good fat, medium protein and zero sugar – which is a bit extreme for me.’
