I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here fans were convinced that Cliff Parasi would have left the jungle instead of Adele Roberts on Friday night if the voting app had worked properly.
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly told viewers to phone up each contestant’s unique number in order to save the campmate, but on the app it said ‘vote off’ above the celebs.
The comedy duo later informed viewers that only phone votes would count due to the wording error on the app.
However, TV bosses have now put the record straight and has assured I’m A Celeb fans it won’t happen again when it comes to the next elimination.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk an ITV spokesperson explained: ‘The app was never broken, it was a wording error on the app. So everything will be fine for the next vote off.’
Following the Radio 1 DJ’s elimination, viewers took to social media to share their thoughts on the decision, with many blaming the voting app.
Many fans insisted that the Call The Midwife star would have gone last night if Adele’s young fanbase’s app votes had been counted.
One tweeted: ‘Adele nooooooooo.. she doesn’t deserve to go she smashed the task.. Cliff should have gone. What is the point of the app if it doesn’t count.’

Another wrote: ‘Nahhhh I’m fuming. All the mums who rang up to vote for Cliff had their votes count but all the Radio 1 listeners who’d have used the app had their votes discarded.’

Another commented: ‘Don’t think Adele should’ve gone tonight. Cliff should have gone in my opinion. He really is a lovely man but he just doesn’t add anything to the show, all he does is sleep.’
