I'm A Celebrity: Caitlyn Jenner appears ready to skydive into camp

It’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! tradition for celebrities to skydive into the jungle during the first show.

And Caitlyn Jenner appeared ready to take on the challenge as she was pictured standing near a black helicopter with her camp mate and former professional rugby star James Haskell in the Australian outback on Saturday.

The celebrities are believed to have been split into four teams ahead of their arrival into the jungle and were spotted wearing different coloured shirts depending on which group they were in.

The former Olympian, 70, was clad in a red polo shirt and a pair of navy cargo trousers as she prepared to step into the aircraft and soar her way down to the camp below in a parachute.

The reality star wore her brunette locks loose which were swept back by the force of the helicopter’s propellers, while opting for an understated natural layer of make-up for her jungle entrance.

Caitlyn, who is a known adrenaline junkie and has previously been filmed enjoying high-octane track days with her daughter Kendall in the past, appeared unfazed by the challenge ahead as she casually chatted to the crew.

Despite the gruelling task ahead, Caitlyn smiled cheerily while getting to know some of the cameramen and sipped on a bottle of water in order to stay hydrated in the heat.

The I’m A Celebrity camp mates are typically split off into two teams upon their arrival on the programme, with one team having to take a leap of faith and jump out a helicopter towards the camp below.

The other team usually have to walk to the top of a skyscraper in the city, and then proceed to walk out onto a plank which has been extended from the building in order to press a button and win points for their team.

Following their skydive, in snaps obtained by the Mirror, Caitlyn and her co-stars were seen jumping into canoes as they take on a lake challenge in order to gain further points for their teams.

Elsewhere, Extra Camp presenter Emily Atack, who was crowned runner-up during last year’s show, was seen larking around with members of the crew as they continued filming for the first episode.

The TV presenter put on a playful display as she pointed, smiled and pulled faces at cameramen who were out filming some of the first scenes for this years version of the ITV hit.

Emily looked stylish for her first appearance in the jungle as she rocked a pretty black A-line dress with a pair of chic shades and some gold hoop earrings.

On Friday a number of the show’s stars were pictured the show’s legendary Walk The Plank challenge, in what appears to be a head-to-head race to win the best camp.

The celebs were pictured as they balanced on a teetering platform at the very top of a 300ft tall skyscraper.

Among the stars facing the Trial are England football star Ian Wright and actress Jacqueline Jossa, who appear to be facing their fears with the heart-stopping task.

This year I’m A Celebrity producers have made walking the plank an even more terrifying prospect, after re-working the platform to ensure it is even more wobbly.
